Subotic signs Dortmund deal

Serbian defender signs new five-year deal with German club
Borussia Dortmund youngster Neven Subotic has silenced speculation regarding his future and signed a new five-year deal with the German club.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a move elsewhere this summer with Everton supposedly strongly interested after an impressive season in the Bundesliga.
The defender only signed for Dortmund last year with manager Jurgen Klopp bringing him to the club from FSV Mainz.
Despite Dortmund securing the player’s immediate future Subotic insists that a move to a major team in Europe at the end of his new deal would be best for both him and the club.
“I am just 25-years of age in five years time,” he told Bild. “If I would have the desire to move on that would still be a good time.
Progress
“Staying is best for me. I made progress at Dortmund last season and it would be too early to move abroad.
“I still have a lot to learn. At this point in time it would take an extraordinary bid to see me leaving.
“This would be great for both, Borussia Dortmund and me. They would have big money and I would know that this new club is really interested in me as a player.”
