Partizan FC Youth School – season 2008/09

Partizan FC Youth Academy organised an appropriate ceremony at Partizan Teleoptik Sports Centre today, motivated by season 2008/09 ending.
On the spot we had gathering of all academy students, coaches, Partizan managers and directors as well as media representatives.
On a press-brief prior to coctail party following people spoke about results academy selections achieved in a season behind us – Academy President Ratomir Babic, Director Nedeljko Kostic, U-15 Head Coach Zvonko Popovic and Academy Secretary Dragan Susnjar.
After the press bit, it was time for an appropriate coctail party.
What follows below are the results achieved in all selections, season 2008/09:
In a 2008/09 season all Partizan Youth Academy selections achieved exceptional success at domestic scene and had a notable role on international circuit. Out of four official youth Serbian championships, our youngsters won three top and one runner-up spots.
U-19`s :
- Serbian youth championship runners-up
- Quarterfinals of strongest youth tournament on the world – Mundialito
- U-19 side is coached by Dragan Kecman
U-17`s :
- Convincing winners of Serbian U-17 league with 25 wins over total of 30 rounds
- Fourth-placed at Citta di Gradisca tournament where other participants included Juventus, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund among others
- Top side and league scorer is Igor Urosevic with 24 goals to his name
- U-17 side is coached by Sladjan Scepovic
U-15`s :
- Absolute domination in Serbian U-15 championship
- 30 league games played – 30 wins achieved. Gd: 209 for 8 against
- Fantastic goal tally from Nikola Mandic, top side and league scorer with 49 goals
- Winners of Italian Franco Gallini tournament that saw participation of 32 clubs
- U-15`s Head Coach is Zvonko Popovic
U-13`s :
- Domestic youth league winners wiht 22 wins out of 24 games played
- Best goalscorers of side coached by Ilija Zavisic are Zukanovic and Pantic
U-11`s :
- Runners-up of unofficial Belgrade league
- Third spot on PAOK tournament
- Top scorer is Voja Stojanovic with 50 nettings, side is coached by Ivan Kostadinovic
Our youth academy produced 32 national team members in all youth categories, while Serbian U-21 side can boost sic players who completed Partizan youth scheme.
Currently, Partizan FC senior side has following Partizan youth academy graduates – Obradovic, Brezancic, Knezevic, Ljajic, Tomic and Jovanovic.
During the past two years following players signed excellent contracts for renowned clubs abroad – Ljajic (Manchester United), Sulejmani (Ajax), Jovetic and Gulan (Fiorentina), Smiljanic (Espanyol), Babovic (Nantes) and Radovanovic (Atalanta).
Partizan will host 8th international U-17`s tournament end of August with confirmed participants being Real Madrid, Fiorentina and PAOK.
Partizan is also involved in ongoing project Partizan School of Football with Summer campr being organised at Zlatibor, Jahorina and Maribor.
