Jelena Jankovic wins Best European award


Serbian best tennis player Jelena Jankovic received on February 24th, the Best European 2008 award for the field of sports, which is awarded by the non-governmental organization The First European House in Belgrade.
At the ceremony, which was organized at the Belgrade City Hall, awards were also presented to Serbian Minister for foreign affairs Vuk Jeremic for the field of politics, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Milos Bugarin for the field of economy and to Slovakia’s Ambassador to Belgrade Igor Furdik who, as a foreigner, made the greatest contribution in linking Serbia to Europe
