AUSTRALIA’S golfers matched their cricketers by having a great day at the – with the help of tennis beauty .

Richard Green was the first-round leader after a sparkling seven-under-par 64.

But the Aussie with the biggest smile was , who was two shots behind.

Former world No 3 Scott and 2008 French Open champion Ivanovic have been dating since the start of the year and she was at Loch Lomond to see him shoot a fine 66.

Scott has slumped to 43rd in the world after splitting up with his long-time girlfriend last year, followed by a brief fling with Hollywood star Kate Hudson.

But he insisted Serb Ivanovic had helped him ‘turn the corner’.

He explained: “Ana is a top sports star too, so she understands what is happening with me.

“Everyone knows what has gone on in my life, although I am not saying that that had a direct impact on me playing poorly at the start of this year.

“But it is nice to be in a good frame of mind in all areas of life. I feel I’ve turned the corner.

“I’m a tennis fan and I probably enjoy watching Ana play more than she does being here.

“But I don’t want to say any more about that, as we are both very private people.”

Scott was at Wimbledon to see Ivanovic reach the quarters and she accompanied him on a fact-finding mission to Turnberry before heading to Loch Lomond.

Ivanovic said: “I am enjoying my time here in Scotland and, of course, I’m here to support Adam.”

The grin on Scott’s face grew even wider when he heard Australia’s cricketers had finished the second day of the First Test on 249-1.

He added: “It would be great to get an Australia win double on Sunday but I’d prefer it to be me who did our bit rather than Richard.”

Green’s late hat-trick of birdies carried him a shot clear of four players, including England’s Graeme Storm.

Storm, who worked part-time in a cake factory during his early days as a pro, admitted he had been consuming a few too many calories himself when he linked up with Pete Cowen.

New coach Cowen told him to take a body-fat test and Storm confessed: “I was horrified with the results of the test. I’ve been working like crazy in the gym since then.”

Another on 66 was Ryder Cup hero but virus-hit Lee Westwood could only manage a 73.
