@jigi102: Hey, we all wanted that as players. We hope you get there too. Check out Chase’s “Vertical Jump” video due up very soon. You will continue to grow and maturity may make it possible to “throw it down!” When you do, we want to know and send us a video. Go for it!

@mattman1214: Please go back and view these finishes again. These are finishes that allow you to get by those bigs. They are really effective as well. Let us know how they work for you.

Ey, great vid, but I always seem to have a problem when there are two bigger defender (I’m a guard) So even if I get past the first big-man the second only need to strip the ball or put their hands up. It’s especially difficult because I’m not that athletic so i can’t get to high to avoid this . Thanks

jesus: Your right. We are just kidding! Gottcha.

  10. JesusChristForgaveMe

    … you gotta be kidding.

  11. ShotScience

You Got it. Let us know how it goes for you.

  12. palmbayjj

    thank you

  13. ShotScience

palm: This video is meant to be a solution to finishing at the hoop which begins with the jump stop. The jump stop really helps us in maintaining control and not giving up charging fouls. We recommend you start here!

  14. palmbayjj

what finishing moves are there to avoid taking a charge because i always look out of control when im going to the hoop strong

    no lol

craftgod: They will be coming soon. We have been really over-burdened by our new site development. We will have new ones up soon. Stay tuned for our new “STREET TEAM” coming out with our new site.

  17. craftgod42

    thanks, waiting for new vids

  18. ShotScience

Pivoting is not a travel unless you raise the pivot foot and it contacts the floor before you release the ball. Thanks for your comments and question. Stay tuned for the “Shot Science Street Team” coming up very soon.

  19. craftgod42

oh.. ok thanks a lot…. i always thought it was a travel

  20. ShotScience

    You Got It!!!!!!!!

  21. ShotScience

jimmy: When you drive, your mindset is to “get to the rack!” Within that process if you cannot finish look to give the ball to a teammate. One really good practice is to use a “jump Stop’ if you get inside and cannot finish. This allows you to have time to assess what to do with the ball even though it is only a second or two. You can execute one of our “Nine Finishes at the rim” or reverse turn and look for an open teammate outside. The Jump Stop is really good to keep you from fouling.

  22. craftgod42

wait pivoting is not a travel? cool

  23. jimmyeatworldorelse

What are you supposed to be thinking of when you drive? (Meaning there wasn’t any play called and you’re just slashing)
Do you think of looking for a person to pass to or make a shot even if its hard?

  24. ShotScience

DWC: Learn, learn, and learn some more! Practice, practice practice! This how you get better. Go for it.

  25. DwyaneWadeCounty

Thanks for the respond. My shooting ability is up there, routinely knocking down 5 to 10 18 footers jump shots. I am just hungry to be a better shooter that I must learn everything there is about shooting.
