Bulls vs Jazz 1997 – Game 2 – Michael Jordan 38 points
In yet another magnificent performance in the NBA Finals, Michael Jordan fell just one assist shy of his first triple-double in a Finals game. MJ scored 38 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dropped nine dimes to lead the Bulls to a 97-85 win over the Utah Jazz in game two of the 1997 NBA Finals. Jordan’s triple-double seemed like a sure thing after a pass late in the game to a wide open Scottie Pippen. Pip missed the layup, however, and Jordan finished with nine assists. Pippen had somewhat of an off night offensively, hitting just four of 13 shots for 10 points. Ron Harper scored 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting. The Jazz were led by Karl Malone’s 20 points, followed by 19 from Jeff Hornacek and 14 from John Stockton. The Bulls took a 2-0 lead in the series and prepared to head to Utah for games 3, 4 and 5.

@rhamses730 Well said bro and thats real talk..
80′s and 90′s NBA was the best.. None of those players will Never be topped. Never so people should just keep dreaming..
The last generation of what the NBA was about. These are the days when basketball was worth watching. Now? Hell no!
Man, look at that passing, the use of screens, and th movement without the ball. The triangle is beautiful to watch when executed perfectly.
I believe that no team today would be able to beat neither one of these teams here. The overall quality of teams are a complete joke to me. During the 90′s all playoff teams were easily over 500 they had atleast 2 superstars in their respected teams e.i i mean Mo Williams last year made the playoffs what a freaking jobber! Sorry Kobe, The Queen, D. Wade, Melo, & Howard but your teams would not hang with the big boys in the 90′s! Dont ever compare Kobe to MJ there’s no comparison based on comp!
Ey all fans of NBA on NBAPremium(.)tk you can see huuuge database of movies, lots of records unavailable anywhere else
Jordan put some moves on Russell that were just sick!
“Scottie will you please make a lay-up!” lol
I have no idea how MJ didn’t win the league MVP for the 1996-97 season. I mean, Karl Malone is a nice player, but come on…….MJ showed in this series who was the TRUE MVP!
MJ Rules
ridiculous
i miss the 90s NBA
the level of play regressed after 90s came take a look at atlanta and washington teams that year
thats the best post i’ve read in all my days of watching the GOAT on youtube!
ohhhh Pip
rodman is redicilous
could of been the 1st ever to get a triple double in the regular season, allstar, and finals all in 1 season, thanks alot Scottie!!
this was an ass whooping for the jazz
Michael Jordan owns Bryon Russell, Craig Ehlo and any other shooting guard in his era.
Rodman made a 3-pointer? ;O
He should have won it 7 times in total in his career. Because in 89′ he averaged 33pts on 54% FG percentage and then 8 rebounds and 8 assists almost a near triple double season average. They give it to other players sometimes because they don’t want to vote for him every time. 1993 Barkley deserved it because he led his teams to more wins and Jordan won it the 2 years before. Same thing in 1997. Jordan won it last year and Malone never won it before.
jordan should still keep being MVP even though he doesn’t play anymore
thats how good he is
I completely agree
I don’t know which group of fags decided MJ shouldn’t have been MVP this year. His numbers and his play were phenomenal as usual
I like his shooting technique at 0:07,this is excellent
