@jonmcfarlenbager Then you factor in that a corner back pedals. And that they do this from a stand still. The 40 times of an NFL player get faster every ten yards. If an NFL player runs a 4.42, this usually means that their first 10 yards was timed at 1.4 ish, then the next 10 yards may be .9 seconds and the times with stay constant, or lower. We did this at the college I played for, and learned all about it.

Defiantly not. The American throw ball players would get destroyed with no pads as they are not conditioned for it. Rugby players have much more bulk on them which makes them able to withstand far more punishment.
