Aris grabs another rookie Oliver

continued its recent youth movement by signing highly-touted scorer Adrian to a two-year contract, the reports.

23-year-old Oliver is the fourth player the club has signed directly from the NCAA ranks in recent weeks joining guard Dan Mavraides, swingman Sergio Kerusch and big man . Oliver arrives from San Jose State University, where he led the Western Athletic Conference and ranked third in the NCAA in scoring last season with 24 points per game.

It was the second season in a row in which Oliver was among the NCAA’s top five scorers. He was also named to the All-WAC First Team in each of the last two seasons. Oliver finished his college career as the Spartans’ second-best all-time scorer with 1,750 points and established school records for most points in a single season and single game.

As we reported few days ago, Aris also signed promising swingman Sergio Kerusch to a three-year contract. Kerusch was the third player that Aris has signed directly from college at the time this month, joining guard Dan Mavraides and big man Sam Muldrow. Kerusch arrives from Western Kentucky University, where he was a teammate of recent Dexia Mons-Hainaut signee A.J. Slaughter. Kerusch averaged 15.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season as a senior for the Hilltoppers. He was selected to the All-Sun Belt Conference First Team after the season.
