When Portland cut the 17-point lead to a four point ball game Paul beat the buzzer with a 3-point shot to still widen the gap. Paul had 17 points in the game along with seven dishes.
Blake Griffin led the Clippers on scoring with a double double 20 points and 10 rebounds. Caron Butler added 19 points while Mo Williams had 13 points off the bench for Los Angeles.
“That’s what he does, he wins games for us,” said Griffin on Paul’s heroics.
