Lakers shows Warriors how it feels to be at home

LOS ANGELES, CA — Forget about the torn ligament in his wrist, we cannot see the effect because Kobe Bryant is just too good to be halted scoring 25 plus points in each game for the Lakers injury is nothing. Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers with 39 points against the visiting Golden State Warriors, 97-90, Friday night at the Staples Center.
“We went through stretches where we couldn’t score and he carried us. That’s what great ones do,” said Lakers coach Mike Brown on Bryant.
“He’s playing great, very aggressive, carrying that team offensively and he’s their lone playmaker,” said Warriors coach Mark Jackson on Bryant.
Bryant is averaging 26.4points a game as he is rank number three in scoring with 22.5 shots a game. Pau Gasol helped Bryant eliminate the Warriors as he scored a double double with 17 points and 11 boards. Matt Barnes had his best game as a part of the Lakers with 16 points in the game for 7 of 9 shooting, six rebounds and five assists.
On the other hand, Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 18 points but that was for 8 of 20 shooting as he continues to struggle with his shots. David Lee provided a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Klay Thompson came off the bench giving Warriors 14 points. The Warriors tried to get close late in the fourth quarter but came up short against the Lakers.
Next for the Warriors will be Utah Jazz and the Lakers will try to get another win over Z-Bo and the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
