Robinson’s 24 points led Warriors to an Overtime victory against the Heat

OAKLAND, CA — Nate Robinson came off the bench with a very gutsy performance scoring 15 points in the final quarter and the overtime as the Golden State Warriors hacked and slashed the Miami, 111-106, Tuesday night at the Oracle Arena.

The Warriors erased a 17 point deficit in the final 13:15 of the second half and send the game to an overtime period. Robinson missed all of his six field goal attempts in the final three quarters but he came off the bench shot a pair of three pointers and tying a free throw attempt with a technical made Udonis Haslem. When he came off the bench the Warriors seemed like to drink plenty of energy drinks as he provided the spark of the night.

“It was great to see Nate Robinson, who people questioned and doubted, [succeed]. I didn’t know what he was when he was on other teams. And I understood the question marks. But I know he’s a fighter. And I know he’s a competitor. And, no pun intended, I know he’s a Warrior. And the guy left it on the floor. Thank God for second chances,” said Warriors coach Mark Jackson.

Dorell Wright scored 20 points for 6 of 11 three point attempts with 10 rebounds while David Lee also had a double digit scoring with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Monta Ellis added 22 points for the Warriors however his field goal stats is not quite good to look at, he shot 9 of 25 in the field.

“At this point, we’re not in any position to fold up shop. We’re just going to keep on fighting. We have no choice. We have a coaching staff that holds us accountable and we have a lot of players with a lot of pride,” said David Lee of the Warriors.

Dwayne Wade’s strong 34 point performance after coming back after missing three straight games because of his injury on his left foot. LeBron James scored 26 points and 11 rebounds while Chris Bosh had 16 in the game.

Next for the Heat will be the Clippers on Wednesday while the Warriors will take a one day break as they face the Majic of Thursday.
