Mavericks stomps on Bucks, 102-78

DALLAS, TX — With a team effort and a great support from the bench the Dallas Mavericks easily dumped the visiting Milwuakee Bucks, 102-76 at the American Airlines Arena Friday night.
With Jason Terry leading the bench and the team he scored 17 points off the bench. The Mavericks’ players played quality minutes inb the game, Vince Carter dropped 16 points in 18 minutes for 7 of 10 shooting. Rodrigue Beaubois also had an entertaining night in Texas with 15 points.
Dirk Nowitzki only played for 22:13 minutes and notched 11 points while
Shawn Marion had 10 to help eliminate the Bucks.
“On defense we’re doing a good job of holding each other accountable and we feel like we can always do better at not letting the other team get in a flow,” said Carter.
The Mavericks matched their highest-scoring game of the season when they produced their highest scoring quarter 32 points and ended with 60 in the first half.
On the other hand, Brandon Jennings led Milwuakee with 19 points for 7 of 12 shots while Shaun Livingston came off the bench and donated 15 points.
The Bucks’ bad defense was one of the reason why they failed to stop the rampaging Mavericks. Milwuakee was also outrebounded 43-36, shot poorly with 37.2 percent compared to the Mavs 52.0 percent.
“We appeared to be slow and non-reactive. There are some teams you can get away with that for a quarter, quarter and a half, and it’s not as glaring. But the way they share and shoot the ball, if [their shots] are going in, you know you’re in trouble pretty quick,” said Bucks coach Scott Skiles.
The Bucks will be facing the streaking Philadelpia 76ers on Monday while Dallas will play against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
