Kings can’t groove with Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — The Utah Jazz are playing with the right tunes at the right time as they groove past the Sacramento Kings, 96-93, Saturday night at the Energy Solutions Arena.
The well balanced Jazz are led by Gordon Hayward who had 21 points for 7 of 15 shooting in the field. C.J Miles was also impressive off the bench as he led the reserves of Utah with 20 points. Al Jefferson added 12 points while Paul Millsap grabbed 14 rebounds.
“I just tried to be a little more assertive. I tried to shoot with confidence. I’m still not where I want to be. I missed a lot of open, easy looks. I can just feel there’s so much more (to improve), but it’s a step in the right direction,” said Jazz forward Gordon Hayward on being aggressive and finding his shot against the Kings.
The Kings were trailing in three quarters, however they found a wa to make it back into the game in the fourth quarter. With 08.3 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter the score was 94-93 in favor of the Jazz. SAcramento has the ball and the chance to win it however they failed to do so.
Sacramento’s rookie guard Jimmer Fredette returns to his hometown and received some positive and negative vibes during the match. He was the person who held the ball in the final seconds but due to maybe his nervousness and pressure he airballed the ball that was indeed a big humiliation for him.
Fredette only had 14 points in the game. The Kings were led by Tyreke Evans who scored 31 points, dished out nine assists and six rebounds. Jason Thompson and Demarcus Cousins each scored 14 points.
The Kings will take a short break and return to action on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors while the Jazz will meet with the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
