Iguodala, Young help Sixers rout Bulls, 98-82

PHILADELPIA, PA — GFive players of the Philadelpia 76ers scored in double figures to defeat the leader of the Eastern Conference the Chicago Bulls, 98-82, Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
The Sixers was led by Andre Iguodala and reserve Thaddeus Young who scored 19 points each, combined for 15 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jrue Holiday had 17 points for 8 of 15 shooting.
“We, as a team, have to stay focused. We can’t get ahead of ourselves,” said Iguodala.
Philly’s reserve Lavoy Allen scored 15 points for 7 of 15 in the field while Louis Williams added 14 for the Sixers to demolish the Bulls.
“It feels good with the support we’re getting on the court. For me, I think I’m getting a lot of trust from my teammates,” Allen.
The Sixers bench scored 50 points of their total 98 points and outscored Chicago’s reserves who only had a total of 38 points.
Reserve guard C.J Watson led the Bulls with 20 points for 6 of 14 in the field four of his shots came from behind the arc. Reigning MVP Derrick Rose only had 18 points for 8 of 17 in the field.
The Bulls only had two players in double figures, Joakim Noah who entered the game with three consecutive double doubles only had two points and seven rebounds.
“Our defense wasn’t good. I thought our reaction to the ball was very poor,” said Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau.
The Bulls goes down to 18-6 while the Sixers stays close with 16-6 to tie Miami Heat’s win-loss record.
Chicago will try to battle the New York Knicks on Thursday while the Sixers will try to take over the second spot in the East as they face the Heat on Friday.
