Clippers survives scare from Jazz’s sweet music

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — The Utah Jazz has been playing sweet music eversince the start of this heavy scheduled season but they failed to the Los Angeles Clippers who were too good in their last verse to beat them , 107-195 at the Energy Solutions Arena on Wednesday night.
The Jazz failed to beat the Lob City for the second time around because of the Clipper’s great fourth quarter run.
Chris Paul scored a season-high 34 points for 15 of 24 in the field and 11 assists. Blake Griffin will not be denied as he scored 31 points including the game clinching three-point play to beat the Jazz. Griffin also had 14 rebounds to have a double double.
“This was a pretty good win for us. Last time we were here they pretty much embarrassed us. I was sitting over here in a suit. The fans were on us and different things like that. We really wanted this game. We didn’t know the history of that (the Clippers losing 42 of their last 43 in Utah) but it’s a new team right here,” said Chris Paul.
Mo Williams continue his new role as a reserve and he did great by giving the Clippers 19 points off the bench. DeAndre Jordan and Chauncey Billups combined for 16 points and 12 rebounds.
“The sky’s the limit. We have all the pieces to be a great team. We got to keep getting better defensively, but we have the closers, we have the shot blockers, we have the shooters and everything that you need. We probably have the Sixth Man of the Year in Mo Williams,” said Chris Paul on his team’s potential.
It was a very close battle between two of the best teams in the West the score was not so far away in four quarters as the Jazz tried to tie the game in the final seconds of the final quarter.
Five of Utah’s player had double digits, they were led by Al Jefferson with 27 points and 12 rebounds. CJ Miles had 16 points while Derrick Favors scored 14 points off the bench.

The Clippers will battle the Denver Nuggets on Thursday while the Jazz will try to bounce back against the Golden State Warriors.
