Djokovic, Nadal to miss the Davis Cup start

World no. 1 Novak Djokovic recently won his third Australian Open title last Sunday and hes got a heavy schedule ahead of him in the Tennis calendar.
On Tuesday’s deadline for the players to participate at the start of the Davis Cup tournament, Djokovic is not included in the list same as last year when he did not start for the team.
Serbia who won the title in 2010 will instead start with world no. 9 Janko Tipsarevic, Victor Troicki, Ilija Bozoljac and Nenad Zimonjic. The team lost to Argentina last year when Djokovic forced himself to play against Martin del Porto when he is not yet fully recovered with his back injury.
On the other hand, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer and the rest of the winning lineup last year will miss the opening round of the tiurnament because they will be busy with other events such as the Olympics.
Spain’s new captain Alex Corretja is forced to choose different players for the opening round.
Roger Federer will start for Switzerland along with Stanislas Wawrinka who defeated the Australians last year including Lleyton Hewitt and Bernard Tomic.
Watch the first round of the Davis Cup starting February 10 and vote for your favorite team to win.
